Murray Smalpage APM, is a highly accomplished investigator with over 40 years as a police officer in the Western Australia Police Force where he rose to Assistant Commissioner, before completing his policing career as Deputy Commissioner and Acting Commissioner/CEO of the Northern Territory Police Force.  

Murray is a highly accomplished senior executive leader with decades of experience across the largest policing jurisdiction in the world, much of his tenure completed in remote and regional communities. His achievements include operational command of major emergencies (weather events, prison riots, aircraft incidents, bushfires, crime sprees), alongside deep experience in professional standards investigations, and coronial inquest processes.

Murray’s experience is supported by an MBA, advanced executive leadership programs, and he was awarded the Australian Police Medal.
